In early 2025, we made our Single Sign On (SSO) framework available to all Nomos One customers. This means you can seamlessly access Nomos One, OneLease, and your enterprise tools without frequent logins. This article will explain what SSO is and how you can implement it for your organisation's Nomos One access.

What is SSO?

Single Sign On (SSO) is an authentication scheme that enhances cybersecurity by allowing your organisation's users to log in to multiple systems using a singular SSO ID. For your Nomos One account, this connects Nomos One to your organisation’s cybersecurity controls, meaning that instead of entering your login and password, you simply enter your email, allowing Nomos One to interact with your SSO provider and log you in. This helps reduce the number of logins and passwords you have to remember while providing greater security for everyone in your organisation.

How to set up SSO

The process of enabling SSO for your organisation will require you to work with our Engineering team. The process is straightforward, and our team is here to help you through it.

Please note: Setting up SSO for accessing Nomos One and OneLease requires your organisation to have an Identity Provider. An Identity Provider is an entity that lets you use single sign on to access other websites, authenticating your information during the login process and thereby making it more secure. Some examples include Microsoft Entra, Okta, and OneLogin.

You will need someone in your organisation who understands and has access to your Identity Provider to do your side of the setup. They will need to enter specific details, provided through emails with our Engineering team, into the Identity Provider. After that, you will need to send our team the URL for the metadata XML file so the team can set up the staging environment. You will be invited to test the login in our staging environment once it has been set up.

Once the staging environment has proven successful, our Engineering team will repeat the set up process for your production environment, making the SSO process live and available to your organisation. It's important to note that once set up, all of your organisation's Nomos One users will be required to use SSO to login.

If you choose to set up SSO with Nomos One, our team will be able to provide much more specific instructions than those in this article. If you have any questions about how the process would work, or how SSO would alter your organisation's login practices, please reach out to our Support Team at support@nomosone.com. They will be able to pass your query on to our Engineering team.
